ADVANTAGES
Let our advantages become yours.
It doesn't get more central than this
With its location in the triangle between Kassel, Frankfurt and Würzburg, the Fulda region has the optimal location. The ICE train station in Fulda and several highways connect eastern Hesse with the rest of Germany, which also likes to come to us: After all, we are located in a popular vacation area. And if people in our home region ever feel the urge to travel, Frankfurt Airport opens the door to the whole world for them.
The mix makesthedifference
"Fulda is the most livable region in Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland" - this was the conclusion of a survey by the news magazine Focus in 2014. Hessischer Rundfunk called us a "paradise for employees" and for the portal Finanzen 100, Fulda was the second most attractive city in Germany in 2017. Possible reasons: We offer a balanced mix of secure jobs, accomplished educational institutions, medical care, a wide range of leisure activities and affordable prices.

Because it simply works
Fulda has been one of the most successful counties for decades. This is thanks to a long period of political stability in which the future can be shaped in a targeted manner. We are constantly working on a sustainable infrastructure: roads, public transport, health care, digitization, education, networks could be continuously built and expanded. Because it simply works better that way, your life here with us and the development of our economic region. And next we'll tackle the bike path concept - we promise.
Certainly not self-evident
For many of us, the safety factor is something we take for granted. But when you come from a country where it is not, it becomes especially relevant: In Fulda, the crime rate is low and the democratic system of the Federal Republic of Germany gives us politically stable conditions. This has a positive effect on many areas of your everyday life and work.

Be able to live healthy
Wanting to live healthily is one thing, being able to live healthily is another. Thanks to the pronounced nature conservation in our region, you breathe clean air - especially in the rural areas - our tap water has an exceptionally low lime content and landscapes invite you to relax. This also has an effect on the fact that you can cover your basic needs at comparatively low prices with regional foods from weekly markets or producer distributors and also find them on the menus of our restaurateurs (from fast bistro food to star cuisine).
Here you can grow up
Here you can grow up
Fulda University of Applied Sciences has eight departments, 9,600 students and 600 employees. The campus in the city area provides practical education with modern equipment and stands for authoritative research in its departments. Vocational schools and universities of cooperative education provide practical theory in a wide-ranging portfolio of subject areas. Practical learning is also possible at the Fulda Environmental Center, the first of its kind in Germany in 1994, or in the training construction hall of the Eastern Hesse Training Center, which is operated by the district craftsmen's association. At antonius - netzwerk Mensch, the focus is on inclusion in practice. Through elementary school, special school and runway, a working school with training preparation, being different loses its meaning in the region.
Where work is fun
There are many theories as to why our region has had the lowest unemployment rate in Hesse for years - it may be due to the balanced relationship between tradition and innovation or our successful mix of industries with medium-sized companies, craft businesses, industry and global players. Perhaps we are also talented in the area of training and thus facilitate the supply of skilled workers? In any case, one thing is certain: Working in the Fulda region is fun.
Not priceless
If you come from a metropolis and take an interested look at eastern Hesse, you will quickly notice that we can offer you an extremely attractive environment here. Sure, the wage level here is lower than in the Rhine-Main region, for example, but that also applies to the prices for housing and living.

Why
Fulda region?
It is an unwritten law that our "nest-fledglers" usually return to their old home very soon with great pleasure - with a completely new view of the unique quality of life. And quite a few eventually settle down here again with their families. The many people from foreign countries who have found a home here (again) also know why:
Felix Wessling
Gastronomer and Fulda boy
"The quality of life here is outstanding: the Rhön landscape, Fulda's beauty, central location, proximity to big cities and economic strength."
Senouci Allam
Founder EduTecs GmbH
"Fulda doesn't really play a role as a center for my digital world, but here my employees can enjoy a high quality of life and stretch the network further."
Barbara Gronauer
Management consultant from Hanover
"I really liked the soft landscape, so green and hilly, right away."
Carsten Micheel Sprenger
Manager and ex-northern light
"In the city center, everything can be reached without a car, and the close-knit social and economic networks make it easy to get a foothold in Fulda."
Lars Ruppel
Berlin poetry slamer with love for Fulda
"In Fulda, I once got involved in cultural and educational work. The pandemic made it clear to me: this is my heart place for heart time with heart people. "
Peter Linz
GF antonius - growing together
"In our agriculture and market gardening, social goals and ecological action go hand in hand. This benefits animals, people and nature in equal measure. "
