TechTour shows job opportunities in the STEM sector - Ten Fulda tech companies open their doors on March 9

One day, three tours, ten companies - this is the motto of the TechTour Fulda, which offers school pupils and students up-close insights into professional fields and career opportunities in the local technology sector. The event is organized by TechHub Region Fulda e.V..

 "With the TechTour, we are offering our members a new format to get in touch with the specialists and managers of tomorrow," explains Christian Vey, Managing Director of TechHub. However, the offer is particularly exciting for school pupils and students. They can take part in one of three tours and get to know three to four different companies in one day in a relaxed atmosphere.

 Participants start their tours from the train station in Fulda and there is a separate bus transfer from one company to the next. FFT, UTH and Dimos offer insights into the world of mechanical engineering and the associated range of tech professions and career opportunities under the heading "Do machines excite you?". In the "Ready for world market leaders?" tour, the two global players JUMO and EDAG as well as the Fulda-based IT system house Bytewerk open their doors and present their job offers for career starters. The third route offers an insight into four companies and is aimed primarily at those with a passion for coding. The companies Cognizant Mobility, stafftastic, kaleidos:code and B&W Engineering will be looking over their shoulders.

 The TechTour format is the first result of the TechHub's 'Personal Project Group', which has been meeting regularly since last fall. The aim is to hold the TechTour regularly in future, at least once a year. "We have invested some time in recent weeks to develop the format, set up a website and design promotional material. However, we see this as a long-term investment and a clear added value that we can offer our members," says Christian Vey. The organizers are confident that the TechTour premiere on 9 March will be a great success and will continue to be an important platform for networking young talent and companies in the region in the coming years. The TechTour is organized in collaboration with the Fulda Apprentice Region and supported by the Hessian Ministry for Digitalization and Innovation.
