Courage, attitude, and networking—a successful evening for female entrepreneurs in Fulda

Oct. 28, 2025

On October 28, the Female Founders Alliance roadshow stopped in Fulda—and was met with a strong response, attracting over 150 female participants (and a few men). The evening was organized in collaboration with Region Fulda GmbH, StartHub Hessen, and Hubtex Maschinenbau GmbH.

The evening began with a tour of the Hubtex production halls, where everyday forklifts are assembled, which became symbols of entrepreneurial spirit that evening. The host, a young executive at Hubtex, emphasized how natural it is for women to take on responsibility today, even in technical industries.
The focus was on three inspiring talks:

  • Jennifer Romanowski, entrepreneur and ultra-trail runner, recounted how she found new strength through sport after a personal crisis—and now helps others with "Freilaufzeit" (free running time) and charity runs.
  • Paulina Schmitt, part of the management team at a family-run craft business in Fulda, described her unconventional journey back to her hometown—and how she is continuing to run a traditional company with courage and vision.
  • Maraja Fistanic, co-founder of a legal tech startup, spoke openly about stereotypes and the difficult path for women in male-dominated industries—and how important networks are for real change.

The evening was rounded off with lively discussions, networking, and a buffet—a vibrant platform for exchange, inspiration, and new connections. According to the organizers, the great response clearly shows that there is a high demand for such formats. The Female Founders Alliance brings together women who believe in their ideas—and want to share them with others.
